2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E: Specs, Price

In the era of the automobile market SUV proliferation and electrification, Ford is about to launch its first all-electric, mass-production model and it takes the form of the coupe-like crossover SUV. The 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E enters the market as an alternative to similar vehicles from Tesla and Chevrolet.

The Mustang Mach-E sits on the electric platform and sports a racy styling like every Mustang-badged model. The first-ever Ford designed as the all-electric model from the start will offer the range of up to 300 miles. The model comes with two battery options and two- and all-wheel drive. There will also be a higher-performance version with the GT badge. In addition to the GT trim, buyers will also pick between Select, Premium, California Route1 and First Edition versions.

2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E: Design

The 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E is designed around the Global Electrified 1 platform. It isn’t actually the all-new design rather a heavily revised C2 platform that is the base of the fourth-generation Focus and Escape. The model will ride on the 117-inch wheelbase while measuring 186.0 inches from bumper to bumper.

From the visual point of view, the Mach-E is fully dedicated to Mustang’s racy character. The model has low and wide front fascia with sport-style front bumper and sharp LED headlights. The masculine hood and flanks add also to the model’s racy character as well as the fast-slopping roofline.

The rear has also got sport-style elements and shapes. The taillights are again similar to those of the Mustang models.

Depending on the version, the model comes with different grille patterns including the body-match color or the black one.  There will also be a contrasting roof paint job as well as the glass roof option. The model will also offer 18-, 19- and 20-inch wheel options.

Interior, Equipment:

The cabin of the upcoming 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E will seat up to five. The maximum cargo capacity is up to 59.6 cubic feet with the rear seats folded. Behind the second row, the cargo volume measures 29 cubic feet.

The Mach-E will use a cloth or synthetic leather upholstery.  There will also be soft-touch padding across the dash and wood and brushed metal inserts.

The model’s wide, horizontally oriented dash will hold a massive 15.5-inch center touchscreen with the integrated rotary dial. The center display will manage most controls and operate the new Sync 4 infotainment system.

In front of the driver will be a 10.2-inch instrument cluster. The model will also come with the WiFi hot spot and Bang & Olufsen sound system.

The Mustang Mach-E will also equip modern driver-assistance technologies. The equipment list will include automatic emergency braking, active lane control, adaptive cruise control and blind-spot monitoring. Most versions will also get a surround-view system and an automatic parking system.
