2021 Peugeot 3008: Design

The current Peugeot 3008 already leaves a strong impression with its striking appearance but leaked images reveal even more modern and sharper styling of the next 2021 Peugeot 3008.

The upcoming version comes with the radically altered front-end styling. The facelifted 3008 applies the brand’s newest design language mimicking the style of the 208 and 508 models. The model gets a new larger grille combined with the restyled headlights. The current version has a framed grille divided from the headlights but the next model comes with the headlights integrated to the grille design.

The new-look LED headlights features also restyled fang-like LED running lights. The front section receives also a reworked front bumper with reshaped air openings.

The profile of the model returns in the same form with new trim details and a new aerodynamic wheel style.

The rear returns with no obvious changes. The model will also offer new color patterns including a two-tone scheme.

Interior, Equipment:

The Peugeot 3008 offers seats for five in an ultra-modern cabin and it comes also equipped with the advanced tech and safety features.

In contrast to the model’s exterior, the 2021 Peugeot 3008 comes with a limited number of modifications inside the cabin. The new model year brings a larger center display option as the reports claim. A part of the refresh will also be upgraded infotainment and connectivity features. There should also be new material patterns on the offer for the new model year.

The Peugeot 3008 has an attractive, driver-focused center stack with the main display sitting high on the dash. There is also a small, chunky multi-functional steering wheel with the modern digital instrument cluster in front of it.

The 3008 goes also on sale with premium material options and high-comfort features. An array of active safety systems will also be available on the equipment list.

2021 Peugeot 3008: Powertrains

The 2021 Peugeot 3008 should stick to the proven and efficient PureTech petrol and BlueHDI diesel engines. The compact Peugeot SUV will also be available with a pair of plug-in hybrid variants.

Buyers will again choose between two turbocharged PureTech engines. The smaller 1.2-liter turbo-3 petrol unit makes 130 hp and 230 Nm of torque. A more powerful 1.6-liter turbo-4 petrol engine delivers 180 hp.

A pair of turbodiesels BlueHDi units will again be on the offer. A 1.5-liter turbodiesel makes 130 hp while a larger 2.0-liter BlueHDI unit is good for 180 hp. Peugeot pairs smaller petrol and diesel units with a six-speed manual transmission by default. Larger engines work in the combination with the 8-speed automatic gearbox exclusively. The front-wheel drive is standard across the range.

The upcoming Peugeot 3008 will also offer two plug-in hybrid options. The front-wheel-drive plug-in hybrid variant produces 222 hp. The all-wheel-drive version is more potent with 296 hp at disposal.

2021 Peugeot 3008: Release, Price

The restyled 2021 Peugeot 3008 should appear in late 2020. Peugeot hasn’t yet talked about the model’s price and specs. More details will emerge closer to the debut. The price should see a modest increase across the range.

A stylish Peugeot 3008 competes against the Ford Kuga, Mazda CX-5, Hyundai Tucson, Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V, etc.
