2021 Subaru Ascent: News, Design, Price

With the recent introduction of the three-row Ascent for the 2019 model year, Subaru is back in the large SUV game after the discontinuation of the Tribeca SUV. The Ascent is the brand’s largest model ever designed with versatility, comfort and safety in the mind. The model comes with standard eight-seat setup and can tow up to 5, 000 pounds. The all-wheel drive is also standard and power provides a turbocharged BOXER engine. The model is also equipped with active safety tech from the start.

Subaru made just a few changes to the 2020 version and the next 2021 Subaru Ascent is also expected with no major modifications. The model will come with the mixed equipment and more standard features should be available. No signs appeared that Subaru will offer an alternative powertrain.

The sculpted hood and chiseled side panel lines make it more appealing to the eye and hide its large proportions. The rear features conservative style and attention get nice taillights connected with the chrome stripe.

The model will come on the 18-inch alloy wheels in its base version while 20-inch units will appear in the upper grades. There will be a new wheel and body color options for the next Ascent.

All chances are that 2021 Subaru Ascent will return with the single powertrain. A new-design 2.4-liter turbocharged BOXER four-cylinder engine provides 260 hp and torque of 277 pound-feet. The pair with the engine will again be a high-torque Lineartronic continuously variable transmission. The part of the drivetrain is also standard and proven Symmetrical all-wheel drive system.
