The all-new 2022 Dodge Journey will depart from its original design. The FCA plans to deliver a completely new design, followed by different dimensions. From what we know, this SUV will ride on a famous Alpha Romeo Giorgio architecture. For an instance, Alpha Romeo Stelvio is using the same platform and it is 184.5 inches long.
Thanks to that, we can confirm that the 2022 Journey will be shorter than before. The previous Journey model was 192.4 inches long. Design-wise, we expect a lot of brand-new stuff. However, some parts will be taken from the Charger model. On top of that, some rumors are writing about the famous Scat Pack variant that will deliver Charger’s styling.
Spacious Interior
The interior of the 2022 Dodge Journey will suffer some significant changes. The previous model was known for its three-row interior layout. However, it seems like the all-new Journey will arrive with two rows of seats. This means there will room for five passengers. This makes sense if the new model will be shorter than its predecessor.

A turbo V6 powertrain will be optional and some speculations are writing about the turbo V8 engine that is available with Alpha Romeo Quadrifoglio. Lastly, the mentioned Scat Pack variant will also become available. Journey will offer a standard rear-wheel-drive system and an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The price of the new 2022 Dodge Journey should start at around $30,000. This SUV will hit the dealerships at some point this year. The production is about to start, in Italy and we are waiting for the FCA to reveal the first details.
