The all-new 2022 Ford Escape should hit the dealerships later in 2021. This crossover is ready to introduce more dramatic upgrades. The Escape crossover is the brand’s best-selling model, but won’t stop Ford from delivering more updates. Escape is a very reliable model with an attractive design and a very modern interior.
The 2022MY will gain numerous refreshments, both in and out. First of all, Escape will offer more handsome styling and the interior will provide even better comfort. On top of that, the interior will gain more tech. Unfortunately, things under the hood will remain. Still, Escape offers its famous ST variant, along with the plug-in hybrid version.
2022 Escape Redesign
The 2022 Ford escape will gain a lot of cosmetic upgrades. Escape comes with a recognizable appearance and familiar design language. It is a crossover that wears a larger grille and unique headlamps. The front fascia looks closer to the fascias of the Mondeo of Focus models. Still, Escape looks unique, especially with the latest changes.
The 2022MY comes with a grille that seats lower than before. On top of that, the headlights are thinner and are extended into the top corners. The rear section sports minor updates such as a wider bumper and improved taillights graphics. The side profile also hosts minor updates and we expect to see new exterior colors.
Interior Updates
The interior of the 2022 Ford Escape will also show a couple of updates. The crossover will offer more standard features and generally, more tech. Escape is a surprisingly spacious crossover with a high level of comfort. Additionally, the 2022MY will gain even better comfort. Blue Oval will replace some plastic materials with more high-quality materials.
The center console looks more modern now but the dash offers the same design and layout. Ford offers a lot of trim levels, but even the base trim level is surprisingly comfortable. Still, upper trims will gain new leather upholstery. An 8-inch infotainment touchscreen remains standard but Blue Oval will offer updated infotainment. Lastly, Escape will introduce the newest safety aids.
Escape and Escape Hybrid Specs
As we already said, the 2022 Ford Escape won’t offer any sort of changes under the hood. The engine lineup is unchanged and a 1.5-liter engine with 180 horses is standard once again. The Escape model offers standard front-wheel-drive and optional all-wheel-drive systems. Right now, Escape accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 7.7 seconds.
We wouldn’t be surprised if the 2022MY offers slightly better acceleration. If you want more power, Escape offers an optional 2.0-liter engine with 250 horsepower. The most popular option is the Escape PHEV. This plug-in hybrid variant develops 220 hp and significantly better fuel efficiency.
2022 Ford Escape Release Date, Price
This popular crossover will hit the dealerships later in 2021, possibly in November. The 2022 Ford Escape will cost $27,000 or slightly above that. As before, Escape will continue to compete against models such as Mazda CX-5 and Nissan Rogue.
