2022 Hyundai Palisade Improves the Calligraphy Trim Level

The forthcoming 2022 Hyundai Palisade is a very modern and attractive mid-size SUV. It is one of the best-selling models in the segment and new updates are likely to happen. Palisade offers three rows of seats, it looks handsome and its comfort is simply amazing. We don’t expect to see drastic changes, but minor updates will surely happen.

Most of the updates will happen on the Calligraphy trim level, but even the base trim will provide an update or two. Generally, Palisade SUV is a perfect replacement for the Santa Fe XL model and this model constantly improves, year after year. The 2022 Palisade will go on sale later in 2021 and its price will remain intact.

2022 Palisade Facelift

The all-new 2022 Hyundai Palisade already looks attractive and modern. Thanks to that, the manufacturer will provide minor updates only. Palisade won’t switch to a different platform so its size remains. Palisade is a mid-size SUV and the 2022 model will gain slightly more chrome trims around the grille. The grille won’t change and even the LED headlights are intact.

This is not a bad thing as complete front fascia looks awesome. The SE and SEL trim levels are available with the same 18-inch alloy wheels. On the other hand, upper trim levels are offering impressive 20-inch alloy rims. The Calligraphy trim comes with revised LED headlamps and it will also gain wider taillights.

Interior Changes

The interior of the 2022 Hyundai Palisade will once again offer plenty of high-quality materials and a high level of comfort. On top of that, this mid-size SUV offers a lot of high-tech amenities. There will be room for seven passengers and all three rows are offering generous headroom and legroom. The Palisade SUV also provides 86.4 cubic feet of cargo capacity with the second and third-row seats folded flat.

The base trim level comes with the standard 8-inch touchscreen, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and various safety aids. New driver-assistance systems will be in the offer, but those features will be optional. The infotainment system is up to date and Palisade continues to offer the same 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The Calligraphy trim offers even more luxury, such as ambient lighting, leather upholstery, and much more.

Under The Hood

Nothing will change under the hood, so the 3.8-liter V6 remains. The 2022 Hyundai Palisade develops 291 hp and up to 262 lb-ft of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission is available and it provides very smooth shifting. Palisade comes with a standard front-wheel-drive system while the all-wheel-drive remains optional.

Hyundai offers numerous driving modes, which include modes such as Eco, Comfort, Sport, and Smart. On top of that, loading optional AWD configuration comes with an additional Snow mode. This mid-size SUV can tow up to 5,000 pounds, which is more than enough.

  1. Will they do the palisades in a medium grey leather for the cligraphy. The off white is horrible grey would be better and black is always good how about white exterior with gold and white or romantic blue interior
