2022 Jeep Wrangler: Colors, Changes

New 2022 Jeep Wrangler is about to arrive, well, in the coming months. It is one of the most iconic off-road SUVs and definitely the most capable model in the segment. As you know, Ford Bronco is on the way and it will directly rival Wrangler SUV. Interestingly, but Jeep won’t deliver major upgrades to its 2022 Wrangler.

It does make sense as the Wrangler model comes with reliability and tradition. On the other hand, this model will get a hybrid powertrain option and even the all-electric variant is reportedly in the works. Wrangler will gain minor updates as the 2021MY already introduced major updates. Here’s everything you need to know about the new Wrangler.

2022 Wrangler Colors

One of our favorite things about the new 2022 Jeep Wrangler is its impressive palette of exterior paints. This SUV offers nine exterior colors and three interior color schemes. New Wrangler can be had in Black, Sting-Gray, Billet Silver Metallic and Granite Crystal Metallic paints.

On top of that, you can opt for Snazzberry Pearl, Hellayella, Sarge Green, Firecracker Red, and Bright White colors. As for the interior, the base scheme is Black. However, Jeep also offers nice Black/Heritage Tan and Black/Dark Saddle color schemes.

Changes

As we said, the 2022 Jeep Wrangler won’t introduce drastic updates. The reason for that is because the 2021MY already introduced significant changes. Thanks to that, the 2022 Wrangler will provide minor updates. In terms of design, the off-road SUV will continue to offer practical and conventional design. Both two-door and four-door variants are available, along with the removable windshield, roof-top, and doors. The base two-door version is 166.6 inches long, while the four-door Unlimited model is slightly shorter.

On the inside, Wrangler will introduce a new infotainment system and additional safety aids. Besides that, we can only hope for more standard equipment across the complete trim level lineup. The interior layout remains, along with the design. It is a practical cabin with plenty of room. Ford Bronco is almost here, but Jeep is in no rush. New upholstery and larger displays will be introduced in the next year or two after the Bronco SUV officially arrives.

Wrangler Hybrid Coming to the Markets

The forthcoming 2022 Jeep Wrangler will continue to offer a familiar 3.6-liter V6 Pentastar engine. It is a gasoline unit that delivers 285 horsepower. Wrangler is a very reliable and capable SUV, but optional 3.0-liter V6 diesel is the highlight of the new Wrangler. The diesel engine develops 260 hp and 465 lb-ft of torque, which is an improvement over the gasoline unit. Another optional engine is a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with 270 horses.

However, a hybrid variant is coming to the dealerships. Named the “Wrangler 4xe”, this hybrid SUV will combine the 2.0-liter engine with electric motors. The 2022 Wrangler 4xe will generate up to 375 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. Furthermore, this model will provide around 50 MPGe and 30 miles of electric range.

2022 Jeep Wrangler Price, Release Date

New 2022 Jeep Wrangler will once again cost below $30,000. Most likely, the new variant will start at about $29,000. The brand-new Wrangler 4xe with a hybrid engine will cost $38,000, more or less. The sales will begin later in 2021 and Wrangler SUV will rival the all-new Ford Bronco.
