The upcoming 2022 Nissan Armada will introduce additional refreshments. This SUV, also known as the Patrol, will go on sale by the end of the current year. Reportedly, the new model will gain numerous changes and upgrades. For a start, a new front fascia is in the works, so the new Armada will be more handsome. The interior will also gain various updates and Nissan plans to offer more standard equipment.
On the other hand, nothing will change under the hood. This means the Armada SUV will continue to offer its large V8 gasoline powertrain option. Some reports are suggesting more power for the new Armada but that is not official yet.
2022 Armada Redesign
The all-new 2022 Nissan Armada will introduce some sort of exterior redesign. Of course, a complete overhaul won’t happen. After all, Armada already looks modern and competitive. However, the Japanese manufacturer will deliver some changes on the front fascia. The new model will introduce reshaped LED headlights and larger fenders. On top of that, a new grille is available as well. The grille will wear more chrome accents so front-section upgrades are significant.
The base trim level will continue to offer nice-looking 18-inch alloy wheels. You can upgrade the wheels to optional 20-inch alloys. Still, the range-topping trims are offering 22-inch units. Armada is available in numerous trim levels and it also offers numerous optional packages. As before, the Midnight Edition package is available once again.
The interior of the 2022 Nissan Armada will remain spacious and modern. However, Nissan will deliver some minor but important updates. The 2022MY will arrive with more standard features. Of course, some optional amenities will be added as well. The comfort will most likely remain but the comfort is already admirable. There will be three rows of seats and a room for eight persons. Armada SUV offers better third-row legroom than most of its competitors.
New infotainment system is also in the works. Interestingly, some reports are suggesting a new 12.3-inch touchscreen. However, this is another rumor that is yet to be confirmed. Upper trim levels such as Platinum are equipped with dual 8-inch displays as part of the rear-seat entertainment system, leather upholstery, and much more.
Potent V8 Engine Could Gain More Power
Nothing will change under the bonnet, so the 2022 Nissan Armada will once again offer a familiar V8 engine. It is a 5.6-liter gasoline unit that is capable of producing 390 hp and 395 lb-ft of torque. Some reports are suggesting slightly more power.
If that happens, the 2022 Armada will generate around 400 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of twisting power. The same seven-speed automatic transmission remains and you can choose between standard RWD and optional AWD systems.
2022 Nissan Armada Release Date, Price
The 2022 Nissan Armada will now cost more, but it isn’t a significant change in terms of cost. This SUV will cost below $50,000 for sure and the sales will begin later in 2021. As before, Armada SUV will continue to compete with models such as Ford Expedition and Chevy Tahoe.
