The 2022 Nissan Qashqai has been revealed last month. This popular crossover SUV comes with a revised design and exclusive hybrid powertrain choices. The model you are looking at is Rogue Sport, but Qashqai should look exactly the same. This SUV is sold globally as the Nissan Qashqai. On the other hand, it is called Rogue Sport in America.
Thanks to that, Rogue Sport borrows basically everything from the Qashqai variant. Anyway, both models are getting the same updates. That includes various exterior and interior changes. Thanks to that, the price will slightly grow and the sales will begin later in 2021.
2022 Qashqai Redesign
There will be several new features in the forthcoming redesign. The 2022 Nissan Qashqai will once again ride on a familiar CMF platform. However, for this occasion, the architecture will be considerably upgraded with major changes in functionality, reliability, and overall riding quality. Thanks to that, the new Qashqai is slightly larger, but also lighter and tougher than the current model.
The upcoming Qashqai will also introduce new features and numerous changes in terms of styling. The V-Motion grille remains, but new exterior colors and improved bodywork will become available. The result is a sharp-looking crossover SUV with plenty of modern stuff.
Interior Revamp
New 2022 Nissan Qashqai also comes with numerous interior updates. For a start, the dashboard is totally different as it comes with a more modern look. In addition, Qashqai offers more cabin room, finer materials, and new safety aids. The updated touchscreen comes with a better interface, and it is a larger tablet-like unit.
In the same way as the latest 10.8-inch head-up display, a new one is also the largest display in the segment. Upper trim levels are available with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. We already know that the cargo room would be improved, along with the level of comfort and interior functionality.
Qashqai Comes With the Hybrid Power
On the latest spy photos of the 2022 Nissan Qashqai, we saw the tachometer set at 8,000 rpm. This clearly suggests a gasoline powertrain option. Moreover, in the near future, the manufacturer will remove all diesel engines. The best part of this SUV is its electric drive system that will be on offer. It is the 12 Volt hybrid system of Nissan’s e-Power. We also think that Qashqai will use Mitsubishi’s hybrid plug-in technology which now forms part of Nissan.
The PHEV version will not be available immediately. However, Nissan will offer 1.3-liter turbodiesel and 1.5-liter turbo-four gasoline options. The bid is expected to include a 1.3-liter turbodiesel and 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine. The most powerful version will develop almost 350 horsepower. Lastly, the manufacturer will introduce revised CVT automatic transmission.
2022 Nissan Qashqai Price, Release Date
The forthcoming 2022 Nissan Qashqai will start at around $20,000 Euro. On the other hand, the Rogue Sport variant in the United States will now cost above $24,000. The sales will begin later in 2021 and we are waiting to hear more details about the new hybrid powertrain.
