The new platform is stronger and features a control arm system that sharpens its behavior and handling, somewhat compensating for the larger footprint.
The 2023 MDX looks sleek and beautiful, just like the TLX sedan. A new model is 198.4 inches long and 78.7 inches wide. However, the upgrades are truly minor, which is the most logical outcome.
Interior Changes
Inside, the upcoming 2023 Acura MDX is luxurious and very modern. The 2023MY will retain its present design. But the new MDX crossover will have the newest tech. For starters, the cabin is trimmed in leather, open-pore wood, and piano-black accents. The ride quality is truly impressive, but the third-row legroom is not so great.
More standard features in New MDX? Updates to the infotainment system is just the beginning. This mid-size crossover will also have new driver-assistance technology. The MDX comes with a 12.3-inch touchscreen, Wi-Fi hotspot, and wireless smartphone charging pad. We expect to see even more updates, but Acura is yet to make it official in the coming months.
MDX Model Includes Hybrid Powertrain Option
The approaching 2023 Acura MDX is using the same 3.5-liter V6 engine. This gasoline output is capable of producing up to 290 horsepower and it comes with a 10-speed automatic transmission. This means the 9-speed gearbox is no longer available. Front-wheel-drive is available as standard, and the AWD setup is optional once again. No words about the hybrid powertrain. However, the outgoing model offers one, so the 2023 MDX should arrive with the same output.
On top of that, the Type S model is also in the works. This sporty model comes with a 3.0-liter turbo V6 engine, developing 355 horsepower. Lastly, regular MDX model delivers 19 mpg in the city and 26 miles per gallon on the highway. Because of that, hybrid powertrain is a good choice as it delivers improved fuel efficiency.
2023 Acura MDX Release Date & Price
New 2023 Acura MDX will cost $48,000. Considering the number of upgrades, this implies the price stays the same. The top-of-the-line Type S will cost above $60k. The new MDX crossover arrives next summer, according to the most recent reports.
