New spy images of the 2023 Chevrolet Trax have surfaced, and the forthcoming crossover appears to be redesigned. Unlike its predecessor, the new model has a front fascia that looks more modern, like on the Trailblazer model.
So, the new Trax appears to share the Trailblazer’s DNA, with LED headlights, vertically organized LEDs at the end of the bumper, and a flanking restyled grille. Only one upgrade will be made to the powertrain in the Trax, per source.
Chevrolet Trax Spy Photos
The forthcoming 2023 Chevrolet Trax appears to be redesigned, according to new spy photographs. Unfortunately, because the spied prototype is well camouflaged, we can’t see all of the visual upgrades. As previously stated, the crossover shares the same front end as the new Trailblazer.
Its look is more appealing and improved than before, thanks to the new LED headlights and lights in the front bumper. The grille has been restyled as well, and it now appears to be much larger than before. We are waiting for more details, as it seems like the Trax crossover is heavily updated.
The new 2023 Chevrolet Trax provides exceptional comfort. The interior room is surprisingly good, especially upfront. The rear legroom provides around 35.5 inches, which means the Honda HR-V provides more legroom. The cargo area behind the back seats is 18.6 cubic feet, and it can be increased to 48.6 cubic feet by folding the rear seats.
The base model features a 7-inch touchscreen as standard. Furthermore, the infotainment system will get an update, while the sound system will not change at all. The base trim level has cloth/simulated leather upholstery as standard, with full simulated leather upholstery available as an option. Similarly, we anticipate more safety aids.
Same Engine, More Power
The next 2023 Chevrolet Trax will introduce one significant change. This change will happen under the hood. A 1.4-liter four-cylinder engine will remain. However, this unit will get a significant boost, so it will provide 155 horsepower. The current version develops 138 horsepower. On the other hand, 6-speed automatic transmission will not change.
On top of that, the Trax crossover will continue to offer a standard FWD system. This means the AWD setup remains optional. The fuel efficiency ratings are not available at the moment. The current Trax model delivers 32 miles per gallon on the highway and 24 miles per gallon in the city.
2023 Chevrolet Trax Price, Release Date
The upcoming 2023 Chevrolet Trax will cost more than the outgoing model. From what we know, the new model will cost around $22,000, which is a slight jump. You can get an optional AWD system for a reasonable price, which is recommended. The sales will begin this summer, according to the latest reports. The Trax crossover will continue to rival models such as Honda HR-V, Subaru Crosstrek, and Hyundai Kona.
