It is one of the most powerful SUVs on the market right now. However, things could change in the coming months. Reportedly, the 2023 Dodge Durango SRT could be the last one. Stellantis needs to go green, and the Hellcat engine will be phased out. Of course, the reason is CO2 emission regulations.
The manufacturer is going green, with the first EVs coming next year. Dodge Charger and Dodge Challenger will be one of the first models to get all-electric power. As for the Durango SUV, this model will most likely get a PHEV version. Of course, Durango EV is a possibility, but not before 2024. This means the Hellcat engine will be no longer available, which means the SRT high-performance variant is gone as well.

This could be the last chance to grab Durango SRT with the iconic Hellcat engine. After that, Dodge Durango SUV is going hybrid, with the EV variant coming at some point in 2024.
