Despite the recent redesign, the new 2023 Jeep Compass should introduce additional refreshments. This SUV will reportedly get a new interior and a new front end, making it more competitive than ever. This time, we also think that the Jeep Compass will come in five different trim levels.
This new SUV has the same 4-cylinder engine option. FWD is standard on Sport and Latitude models, so there will be no changes in this category. Of course, setting up AWD is still an option. In the same way that it was before, Trailhawk will be the best version of the Jeep Compass SUV.
Jeep Compass Exterior Facelift
Jeep is said to be making some small changes to the way this SUV looks. The next 2023 Jeep Compass is still a good-looking model, and its front fascia looks a lot like the more famous Grand Cherokee, with its seven-slat grille. In general, depending on the trim, the look of the Compass can change a little.
For example, the Trailhawk model features a more durable appearance and exceptional off-road capabilities. On the other hand, the Limited trim looks more expensive and classy. The Compass is in the middle of the subcompact and compact segments in terms of size. The Compass model will sit between Renegade and Cherokee models in terms of size. In reality, the Compass is still a small SUV that competes with rivals such as Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4.
If you buy the next Jeep Compass in 2023, you’ll get an 8.4-inch infotainment screen that is easy to use and comes with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto. One reason the UConnect infotainment is so good is that it has great graphics and easy-to-use menus. There is also an option for a bigger 10.1-inch screen.
The Compass SUV has a lot of room inside. There’s enough room for four adults, and there are 27 cubic feet of space behind the second row. We like the list of safety features that come standard and can be added on. Even more impressive is if you choose the Trailhawk or Limited trim levels, you’ll get a bigger, better-looking cabin that’s even more comfortable and luxurious!
Hybrid Powertrain Still Sounds Likely
There are two ways to drive the 2023 Jeep Compass. The first one is a 6-speed automatic transmission for front-wheel-drive models or a 9-speed automatic transmission for all-wheel-drive models. The performance of the Compass isn’t as good as it could be, no matter what you do to it. We think this model definitely deserves more power. The 177-horsepower on hand is good for running daily tasks, but it gets tired when you need to accelerate quickly or pass cars on the highway.
A mild-hybrid powertrain could be added to the Compass lineup at some point. This is likely to be a small-displacement turbo-four engine paired with a 48-volt starter-generator, but it could also be something else. This would give the Compass model a little extra boost when it’s time to speed up and help it get better gas mileage when it’s time to relax. It doesn’t matter what kind of hybrid the Jeep Compass might be in 2023. The extra engine option would be a good thing to have.
2023 Jeep Compass Release Date, Price
The all-new 2023 Jeep Compass will cost $25,000 or just slightly above that. The AWD system is optional and it will cost an additional $1,500. The range-topping Trailhawk variant will start at around $32,500. This small SUV will hit the dealerships in the second half of 2022.
