With the arrival of the brand-new Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer models, new 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Sport will gain significant upgrades. The current generation has been present for almost a decade and this SUV will finally enter the next chapter. Since the debut of the current Range Rover Sport in 2014, Land Rover has faced tough competition from the Mercedes-Benz GLE and BMW X5.
Over the years, both models have undergone significant redesigns for new versions. Land Rover cannot afford to be left behind by the competition, since the Range Rover Sport is one of its best-selling brand’s models. However, the first spy pictures of prototypes indicate the existence of an all-new Range Rover Sport.
2023 Range Rover Sport Spy Shots
The upcoming 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Sport being is getting a redesign. The very first spy photos are showing exactly that. Unfortunately, the prototype remains tightly hidden, but we anticipate evolutionary aesthetic modifications. Land Rover has installed new slimmer headlights and horizontal taillights. Thanks to that, this SUV will now wear a Velar-like appearance. Additionally, it features a bigger rear spoiler and a more contoured body, which gives it a more aggressive appearance than the standard Range Rover.
The new Range Rover Sport looks to have the same wheelbase as the present model, but with reduced overhangs. At the front, a revised grille pattern with slightly angled rectangular design components is featured, as is a reworked bumper that houses a larger lower air intake grill. We are waiting for the camouflage to come off, but the redesign is definitely happening.
Interior Features
Unfortunately, spy photos are not showing the interior upgrades. Anyway, the 2023 Land Rover Range Sport will surely gain a lot of new features. As always before, the manufacturer will provide a luxury cabin with high level of comfort and long list of standard and optional amenities. We know for sure that the Range Rover Sport SUV will have a fully digital instrument cluster. On top of that, a larger touchscreen, luxurious materials, and redesigned switchgear will be on offer.
New Hybrid Powertrain Option
New 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Sport may replace its existing supercharged V8 with a new twin-turbo V8 as part of a partnership with BMW. Moreover, the all-electric model may utilize the same electric engine as the BMW iX. The most significant change will happen under the skin.
New Range Rover Sport will sit on a company’s Modular Longitudinal Architecture. This platform supports all sorts of electrified powertrain options. That includes mild-hybrid, plug-in hybrid and all-electric options. Reportedly, the upcoming SUV will offer a variety of electric setups.
2023 Land Rover Range Rover Sport Price and Release Date
The price of the forthcoming Land Rover Range Rover Sport will start at $70,000. On the other hand, the range-topping trim level could cost $130,000. The sales will begin later next year, most likely in fall 2022.
