The 2022MY already introduced a new user-friendly infotainment system and a 10.3-inch touchscreen. New Engine for CX-9 SUV?
While most of the three-row SUVs are offering a potent V6 engine, the 2023 Mazda CX-9 provides a turbo-four engine. It is a smaller 2.5-liter engine, capable of producing 227 horsepower. Mazda already made the AWD system standard in all trim levels. A 6-speed automatic transmission is once again available as the only gearbox option. Pouring 93-octane fuel will help CX-9 SUV achieve almost 250 horsepower.
The new engine is not on the cards, so rumors about the hybrid powertrain are clearly false. However, the new CX-90 model introduces some sort of electrification. As for the CX-9, it provides solid performances. Acceleration is not that impressive, but handling and ride quality are superb.
2023 Mazda CX-9 Release Date, Price
Nothing will change in terms of price, so the new 2023 Mazda CX-9 will cost around $36,500 once again. The range-topping trim level will cost closer to $50,000. The new model will arrive in the second half of 2022. It could be the last CX-9 model before Mazda replaces it with the brand-new CX-90 model.
