Qashqai is currently the best-selling Nissan model in Europe right now. Now, the forthcoming 2023 Nissan Qashqai will undergo considerable revisions. Following on from the Juke and Rogue, it’s time for this one to introduce a whole new styling.
We already know a lot about the new generation at this stage. It will deliver upgrades in a variety of areas, beginning with a new platform and chassis. Of course, you can expect fresh exterior and interior design, as well as new powertrain options.
Engine Options
When it comes to powertrain options, diesel engines will be phased out of the portfolio. Instead, the company will introduce a new hybrid model with a gasoline engine and a total output of roughly 190 horsepower. For those searching for something more traditional, the new Qashqai will also be available in two conventional options.
There is a 1.3-liter turbo-petrol engine, which produces about 140 horsepower in the base trim level. A more powerful version will be capable of supporting approximately 160 horsepower. Both engines will have a 12V mild-hybrid system. Nissan claims a totally new CVT transmission that will deliver a far better driving experience while also improving efficiency.
Nissan Qashqai Exterior Design
New 2023 Nissan Qashqai could ride on a new architecture. This is not official yet, however, many experts believe the current CMF platform will remain. Of course, this platform could suffer a couple of tweaks. Reportedly, the goal is to reduce a vehicle’s weight and to improve fuel economy. On the other hand, a redesign will certainly happen.
The new model will have a slightly longer wheelbase, which means the interior will be more spacious. A recognizable V-Motion grille will remain, but Nissan will surely deliver new styling, new colors, and impressive 20-inch wheels.
Interior
On the inside, the upcoming 2023 Nissan Qashqai will gain a completely new dashboard. As we said, the cabin will be more spacious. Furthermore, we expect finer materials, although the current model still appears to be adequate in this regard. In terms of interior design, we expect to see a modern layout with a huge tablet-like touchscreen.
In higher trim levels, a fully digital 12.3-inch instrument cluster will be available, as will the new 10.8-inch head-up display, which will be the largest in the class. Nissan will reveal more details in the coming months. Anyway, dramatic interior upgrades are on the way, and we can’t wait to see this new model.
2023 Nissan Qashqai Release Date, Price
The price of the next 2023 Nissan Qashqai will surely increase. We expect the new model will start at around 20,000 Euros or slightly above that. In the United States, the Rogue Sport model is available, which is basically the Qashqai model in a different continent.
The Rogue Sport will cost $24,000. As for the release date, Qashqai will arrive in Europe in the second half of 2022. While we are waiting for more info, Qashqai will surely arrive with a refreshed design and hybrid powertrain option.
