The manufacturer is making significant improvements, and the new Outback will include a raised suspension for more ground clearance, a much more cargo-friendly interior, and an abundance of technology capabilities. By and large, the new Outback resembles a station wagon rather than a crossover.
As previously stated, Subaru will offer two drivetrain choices: turbocharged and regular four-cylinder engines. Both versions will provide a standard all-wheel-drive setup, a feature that is becoming increasingly rare in modern vehicles. The Outback will compete against the Volvo V60 Cross Country and Audi A4 All-Road models.

However, the Outback’s cabin is more capacious than the previous generation, with an additional 1.4 inches of legroom. Subaru claims that the cargo area has a volume of 33 cubic feet.
Moreover, all Outback models include power-adjustable seats, dual-zone climate control, and the newest safety aids. The interior of the upper trim levels, luxury options such as heated steering wheel, and leather upholstery will come as standard.
Two Powertrain Options
The forthcoming 2023 Subaru Outback will once again arrive with a pair of four-cylinder engines. The base model is equipped with a 2.5-liter engine that is capable of producing 180 horsepower. On the other hand, an optional 2.4-liter engine will deliver 260 horsepower. Both engines are equipped with an automatic CVT transmission.
Moreover, all Outback trim levels come equipped with a standard all-wheel-drive system. According to the manufacturer, this model can tow 3500 pounds with the turbo engine and 2700 pounds with the base motor.
