The upcoming 2024 Cadillac Escalade has recently been spotted, with minimal upgrades over its predecessor. According to the first images, the new full-size SUV will receive minor changes such as a new grille pattern and a revamped front section. In general, the new model’s design will be more similar to the Escalade-V, which was recently unveiled.
What will happen in the powertrain section is yet unknown. According to unofficial sources, there will be two options. The base engine will be a 6.2-liter V8 engine, while the next engine will be a 3.0-liter diesel engine. However, the all-electric variant is reportedly on the way, which is great.
Cadillac Escalade V
The first photographs of the new 2024 Cadillac Escalade V are here. According to reports, this model will differ from the original Escalade in a number of ways. It will have a new front bumper, quad-tip exhaust, a faux-rear diffuser, and a lot of black accents. Furthermore, the interior of this model is sportier, and it is equipped with a number of sophisticated technologies.
The powertrain is likely to be a detuned version of the supercharged 6.2-liter LT4 V8, which powers the CT5-V Blackwing sedan currently on the market. This engine will produce 668 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. A 10-speed automatic transmission will come as standard. All-Electric Escalade is Coming
The brand-new 2024 Cadillac Escalade EV is also on the way, per reports. This variant will reportedly arrive at the same time as the Range Rover EV, which will most likely happen later in 2023. Moreover, General Motors already submitted a new trademark application for the “Escalade IQ”. New Escalade EV or Escalade IQ will slot above the electric Cadillac Lyriq. The Ultium architecture will underpin this new model, so we anticipate different battery packs.
From what we know, the base model will deploy an electric motor with 342 horsepower. Of course, a dual-motor setup with a standard AWD and more power will be on offer as well. As for the single-motor model, it will most likely use a rear-wheel-drive system as standard. Some reports are saying that Escalade Electric will borrow a lot of things from the GMC Hummer EV truck.
2024 Cadillac Escalade Price, Release Date
The next 2024 Cadillac Escalade has been spotted testing with a far more appealing look. As previously said, the upcoming SUV will receive the same treatment as the Escalade V model, and it will most likely appear later this year or early next year. The current Escalade model has a starting price of $76,000. The model with a longer wheelbase will cost $79k and the range-topping models will cost above $100k. Of course, the high-performance Cadillac V is the highlight of the 2024MY, until the all-electric model arrives.
