2024 Nissan Murano Redesign, Interior

The next 2024 Nissan Murano will be a new-gen model with a completely new design. The Japanese automaker never meant to discontinue this mid-size SUV, despite the fact that two-row variants are less popular than seven-seaters. Nissan is currently developing the following generation of the Murano, one of the most well-liked SUVs in this class.

The next-generation model will feature an interior and exterior overhaul. Perhaps it is too soon to discuss potential upgrades and modifications. But some trustworthy rumors already foresee aesthetics inspired by the electric Nissan Ariya crossover. A hybrid is coming, but the all-electric model is less likely. The price will undoubtedly increase, but don’t anticipate a significant one.

Nissan Murano Redesign

Significant aesthetic improvements will be made to the 2024 Nissan Murano. The Murano SUV will resemble the Nissan Ariya model. Thanks to that, we expect to see a more futuristic appearance with slightly more aggressiveness.

Due to the mid-size SUV’s small size increase, the new platform is all but guaranteed. A hybrid powertrain can also be installed thanks to the platform. This car will get new wheels, new color options, and more, just like any other next-generation model.

Interior Changes

The next-gen 2024 Nissan Murano will, to begin with, offer the same trim levels as its predecessor. This indicates that the mid-size SUV will still offer the same three variants, although we expect new optional packages. Additionally, Murano will offer a Midnight Edition that is optional. The Pro-4X off-road variant is also a rumor, but we don’t believe this will materialize. However, it would be nice to see some sort of off-road version with a 4×4 system.

Murano will provide even more passenger space because the new model will be slightly longer. It will still have two rows and space for five passengers, though. The interior will get a total makeover. Nissan will therefore provide new inside designs along with larger screens, fresh interior color schemes, and enhanced safety.

Under the Hood

A hybrid drivetrain will be available for the upcoming 2024 Nissan Murano. First off, the 3.5-liter gasoline V6 engine with 260 horsepower and 240 lb-ft of torque will still be available in the Murano SUV. Given that the majority of the competitors use a four-cylinder engine, this information is highly intriguing. Although smaller four-pot engines use less fuel, V6 engines have more power.

Murano Hybrid is therefore on its way. Yes, a turbo-four engine is conceivable, but the most likely scenario involves coupling an existing V6 with an electric motor. Even an all-electric Murano has been mentioned in some speculations. That won’t take place, at least not in the next two or three years.

2024 Nissan Murano Release Date and Price

As this is the next-generation model, the 2024 Nissan Murano will cost around $35,000 or slightly below that. Yes, the price will slightly increase, which is perfectly normal. This mid-size five-seat SUV will reportedly arrive next year, possibly in the summer.

  1. As the owner of 2015 Nissan Murano, I am very pleased with the car performance and comfort. I have driven the car cross country multiple times without any issues.. As the new 2024 Murano redesign get underway soon, I would like to recommend 3 suggested changes:
    1. Move the navigation screen to eye level of the dash board.
    2. Redesign the location of the various controls on the steering wheel so that they face the driver , such as volume control.
    3. Redesign the hood and remove the bent edge of the hood near the bottom of the windshield because at certain time of the day it reflects the sun glare directly into the driver’s face.
Thank you and look forward to purchasing the new model.

    1. Good recommendations. Also let’s hope they add a few more color options. Frankly, I am tired of all the boring standard colors. Too basic. Would love to see a rich maroon or mocha something that adds elegance. I think if the redesign looks like the new electric model or at least similar that will keep me interested in continuing with the Murano. I’ve owned 3 and more than 8 Nissans from maxima’s, rogue, Sentra and I want to stay but the lack of having a redesign is making me look elsewhere as there are some other makes that offer more like Kia and Hyundai with some real cool features. Nissan needs to step up their game.

  2. I don’t understand something, they can redesign the venza, but say they can’t redesign the Murano because of the computer chip shortage!, I call bullshit, they were too lazy to do it because it has been the best design they’ve made.

  3. GET RID OF THE GRAY WHEELS NEED ALL ALUMINUM BRIGHT WHEELS LOOK GOOD ON VEHICLES. ROOF TO LOW NEEDS TO BE ABOUT 4 INCHES HIGHER WOULD BE EASIER TO GET IN AN OUT FOR TALLER PEOPLE. TK U

I had a 2020, then got a 2022 on an 18 month lease because I wanted to get the newly designed 2023, which didn’t happen. My lease is up in October of 2023 and the new design MIGHT happen in the summer of 2024. Now what do I do?

  5. get an 8 or 10 way passenger seat. but i also cant wait till 2024 summer, lease is up in nov 2023 . guess i have to look someplace else after 6 muranos

  6. I had the first Murano model, and currently drive a 2017 Murano. I have never had any problems with them whatsoever; love the car. (I have also had a Pathfinder, the first model Rogue and an xTerra Pro4x which I loved because I live I the mountains. Very sorry they discontinued that one.)
My Murano is a great size and very comfortable with plenty of power. The AWD intuitive works great in heavy snow. One thing I love about the Murano is it offers light interior. I agree the exterior colors are the same old thing. I live where there is much snow and mud in the Winter; everyone drives white cars. I would love the Murano come in a lighter color; maybe a metallic green or blue. Aside from the standard white and silver, it is always dark blue, dark red or black. I almost purchased a new car last year, but am holding out to see what the new Murano has to offer. Personally, I love the body style still, but if they update to something sleeker, fine by me. A bit longer would be nice to give the back seat more leg room. If I like the new 2024, I will definitely purchase another.
