The forthcoming 2024 Subaru Outback will gain a couple of small improvements. The present model had a more significant refresh, therefore the upcoming model should only see minor adjustments. Subaru Outback Wilderness
As previously reported, the off-road 2024 Subaru Outback Wilderness is also present. Since it is a very recent trim level, we don’t anticipate any upgrades. However, it is an outstanding model with more ground clearance. The Outback Wilderness has new tires, bolder bumpers, 9.5 inches of ride height, and a distinctive hood decal.
With a more aggressive design, the Wilderness version is unique. The emphasis is still on off-road capabilities, therefore this model comes standard with wider 17-inch alloy wheels. Subaru also incorporated roof rails, skid plates, and underbody protection. Additionally, the sunroof is an option and it has a very upright appearance. Finally, this version will have a standard AWD system and a variety of driving modes.
Engine Specs
Under the hood, the next 2024 Subaru Outback will offer the same engine lineup. Everything starts with a 2.4-liter Boxer variant. This engine develops 260 horsepower and 277 lb-ft of torque. There is also a more fuel-efficient 2.5-liter with 182 hp and 170 lb-ft of torque. Subaru will continue to offer a smooth CVT gearbox.
In terms of fuel economy, the base engine gets 33 miles per gallon on the highway. On the other hand, an optional powertrain gets 30 miles per gallon on the highway, which is satisfying. No doubt, the mid-size Outback crossover SUV will continue to deliver versatility and durability. As before, Subaru will offer a standard AWD system.
2024 Subaru Outback Release Date and Price
The upcoming 2024 Subaru Outback will hit the dealerships this summer. The price will probably remain, which means you can get this model for about $28,000. If you have extra room in your budget, more premium Onyx Edition is the way to go. The Wilderness off-road trim level will cost around $40,000 or slightly above that.
