The next 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado will hit the markets in 2023, and it will arrive with numerous changes. According to reports, this model will get a facelift and a new hybrid powertrain. It will probably use the same mechanism as the current Toyota Crown. Naturally, a new powertrain also means a new transmission. Therefore, this model will be mechanically different when compared to the outgoing model.
The Land Cruiser Prado will still be available with diesel engines in some parts of the world. On the other hand, several reports suggest a brand-new, more powerful diesel engine. The 2.4-liter gas engine will be available in several additional areas. There will also be several interior changes and also expect to see more standard features.
Toyota Land Cruiser Specs
Under the hood, the new 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado will introduce a new hybrid powertrain. As we just mentioned, it is the same output that powers the Toyota Crown car. Basically, a 2.4-liter turbo-four engine works in combination with an electric motor/generator. Thanks to that, the new Land Cruiser Prado Hybrid will be able to produce over 300 horsepower. Toyota will also provide new transmission, most likely a 6-speed automatic. Unlike the regular model, a hybrid version will have a standard 4WD setup.
Engines with internal combustion will be available once again. The Land Cruiser Prado SUV will arrive with a 2.8-liter diesel variant. This turbodiesel will generate 205 horsepower and up to 365 lb-ft of torque. There is also a 2.4-liter turbo-four gas engine, but a larger 4.0-liter V6 is no longer available. The engine lineup will largely depend on the country where you are buying this model.
Interior Updates
The interior of the new 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado will feature more upscale materials and high-tech features. The dashboard is entirely redesigned and polished in a distinctive shape. Naturally, this SUV will include more standard features and safety aids.
The interior will be dominated by a larger infotainment touchscreen, and Toyota will also provide a new digital instrument cluster. The Land Cruiser Prado model will have roughly the same amount of passenger room as the previous model, but the new platform will offer better comfort.
Visual Changes

The price is not available yet, unfortunately, but Toyota will reveal more details in the following weeks. The sales will begin next summer. From what we know, this SUV won’t make it to the U.S. However, sales will continue on other continents, including Europe, Asia, and Australia.
