2023 Buick Encore to Introduce Mid-Cycle Upgrades

The upcoming 2023 Buick Encore will once again receive several upgrades. We can anticipate a change in appearance and updated interior. There are already reports that this little crossover may be phased out in Canada and the United States starting next year. However, we now know more about the new model.

The current engine is gone and Buick has replaced it with a more powerful engine, which is a good thing. The gearbox, on the other hand, will be unaffected. We anticipate numerous enhancements. The exterior will get a few visual improvements, and the interior will get extra items as well. Generally, the Encore model will represent a premium option in the segment and this is what we know about it.

Buick Encore Engine Specs

The engine of the next 2023 Buick Encore will be more powerful than the previous one. As previously stated, the manufacturer replaced the previous 138-hp gasoline engine with the new 1.4-liter drivetrain option. This turbocharged four-cylinder engine has 155 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque, which is a significant improvement.

Buick will continue to offer the same 6-speed automatic transmission. Furthermore, an FWD system is standard once again. However, an AWD setup is available as an option. We are still waiting for more information, including towing capacity and mpg figures.

Interior Updates

When the new 2023 Buick Encore is released, it will have a more modern cabin design and more features. The interior is much nicer than the last one, while the seating layout is the same. With two rows of seats, this tiny SUV can accommodate five people. The Encore Preferred trim level includes cloth/suede seats, new noise-canceling technology, and a 7-inch touchscreen.

The Buick Encore also includes standard features including navigation, Bluetooth, and Android Auto/Apple CarPlay. The 2023 Encore will also gain additional driver-assistance aids for improved safety on the road.

Exterior Facelift

For starters, the 2023 Buick Encore will retain its current size. The Encore crossover appears smaller than other models in the segment due to its dimensions. This is a beneficial move because customers will have an easier time finding parking. The new model’s appearance will be primarily modified in the front, with revised headlights and grille.

The GX model is significantly longer and unmistakably more luxurious. Because of its clean body lines, streamlined posture, and sporty stance, this variant also appears very athletic. The redesigned Encore SUV will also include new exterior colors, additional features, and new optional wheels. However, the Encore model will continue to offer current exterior paints such as Summit White, Satin Steel Metallic, and Ebony Twilight Metallic.

2023 Buick Encore Price, Release Date

The price of the 2023 Buick Encore will start at $25,000 or slightly above that. Buick will also introduce the GX version. The launch date is not official yet, although we expect the new model will go on sale this August. The Encore crossover SUV will continue to compete against Mazda CX-30 and Kia Seltos.
