The 2024 Tesla Model X continues its journey, this time with numerous upgrades. Since its debut a decade ago, Model X has become one of the favorite electric SUVs. It is the perfect model for families, as it provides more than a decent interior and cargo room.
Of course, Tesla Model X comes with a lot of interesting features, including falcon-wing doors and a panoramic windshield. We like the vehicle’s acceleration and impressive driving range. On the other hand, this SUV could do better in some areas. Still, Tesla will deliver various updates, both in and out.
The upcoming 2024 Tesla Model X comes with so many upgrades. The redesign is still not on the cards, but this mid-cycle facelift will do the job just fine. For a start, Tesla will introduce a new Ultra Red exterior color option. On top of that, the glass roof is lighter than before, and it is also more transparent.
Overall, Tesla says the next version will be lighter and more efficient as a result. The 20-inch wheels are available as standard, while the Model X Plaid variant will ride on standard 22-inch rims. We expect to see the sharper front fascia and smaller tweaks on the rear section as well.
Inside the 2024 Tesla Model X will also introduce a couple of interior updates. As we said, the more transparent glass roof is just the beginning. This SUV will also receive more driver-assistance aids, and possibly a new interior color scheme. It is a highly customizable model, with different seating layouts. The base version has room for five occupants, and it offers amenities such as a heated steering wheel, a 17-inch infotainment touchscreen, and a keyless entry/push-button start.
The Model X SUV also has a Plaid trim level, but this model offers room for six exclusively. It is a much faster model, and it comes with a couple of premium updates. The three-row variant is also available. As you can see, Model X has everything. However, it still does not offer Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The next 2024 Tesla Model X could gain improved performance, although we don’t expect a major upgrade. The base model comes with a dual-motor setup, one at the front axle and one on the rear axle. Thanks to that, this version offers a standard AWD system and it accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in around 3.7 seconds.
If you want more power, the Plaid model is the way to go. This version will reportedly deliver 1020 horsepower, via a three-motor setup. Tesla says the Model X Plaid sprints from 0 to 60 mph in only 2.5 seconds. The base model provides 333 miles of driving range, while Plaid will provide significantly less.
New 2024 Tesla Model X will hit the roads in the last quarter of 2023. The price of the base trim level starts at $100,000, while the Plaid model costs just above $110,000. If you are looking for a premium electric SUV with impressive acceleration, lots of high-tech amenities, and lots of cabin room, look no further.
