The 2023 Genesis GV60 is an all-electric subcompact SUV that will go on sale later next year. Despite sharing many components with the future Kia EV6 and Hyundai Ioniq 5, the GV60 has several Genesis design characteristics, such as a bigger grille and twin-strip headlamps and taillights. We believe that the cabin will have more polished materials and complex high-tech features to match its higher price, but no specifics have been released.
Furthermore, there is no info on the engine of the GV60, however, we think it will be similar to that of the Ioniq 5. That model will be offered in both rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive variants. With the 2023 GV60, Genesis’ evolution as a luxury brand continues. As Genesis tries to expand its electric car line, it joins the previously disclosed all-electric G80 sedan.
The 2023 Genesis GV60 has a sleek exterior styling. It isn’t a futuristic or outlandish model, which is refreshing to see. The GV60 has a classic appearance. The GV60 SUV is shown in these photographs with a distinctive yellow exterior paint job. Of course, Genesis will offer up to ten exterior colors.
Furthermore, a variety of trim levels will provide a great offer with so much to customize. The dimensions of the car, as well as the list of basic and optional equipment, are still unclear. Anyway, we think the GV60 is stunning, with a sleek design and distinctive double-striped headlights and taillights.
Again, we don’t yet have all of the cabin specifics. The 2023 Genesis GV60, on the other hand, will be a luxury crossover with a premium interior. Everything on the inside appears to be fashionable, elegant and made of a variety of premium materials. While we doubt the side-view cameras and corresponding interior-mounted screens will be available in the United States, the EV’s “Crystal Sphere” shift lever is a foregone conclusion.
When the car is shut off, the leveler, according to Genesis, works as a mood light. When you turn on the GV60, the shifter does a little dance and flips over, allowing you to pick driving settings like Neutral, Drive, Park, and Reverse.
Furthermore, there is no information available about the powertrain options. However, we believe the 2023 Genesis GV60 will be equivalent to the Ioniq 5. This vehicle will be offered in both RWD and AWD variants, with the latter offering more power.
Ioniq 5 with the RWD setup provides around 225 horsepower and up to 300 miles of driving range. On top of that, the AWD version develops 320 hp, but the driving range is smaller around 270 miles. We expect the GV60’s power output and range estimates to be slightly higher in order to compete with other models in the segment, including the new Tesla Model Y.
While it is not official yet, the new 2023 Genesis GV60 will start at $55,000. The all-wheel-drive version will cost slightly more. Anyway, GV60 will be a very luxurious crossover with great performances. The sales will begin at some point in 2022, most likely in the summer.
