2022 Porsche Cayenne Delivers Mid-Cycle Facelift

It is official. New 2022 Porsche Cayenne will hit the dealerships this year. Most likely, this SUV will go on sale in the last quarter of 2021. From 2022MY, we expect to see minor updates only. Cayenne is known for its high level of luxury and its sporty stance. It looks very attractive and recognizable, while the interior is very premium and full of high-tech amenities.

Things under the hood will remain intact. Because of that, Cayenne SUV will continue to ride on its current engine option. New spy shots are available, so we know a little bit more about this new model. As before, the Cayenne GTS coupe variant will hit the roads as well.

2022 Cayenne Facelift

Just like the current model, the new 2022 Porsche Cayenne will arrive with minor exterior upgrades. Visually, Cayenne looks modern, attractive, and sporty. However, some changes will happen. For a start, the new model will gain a cleaner design. Moreover, its body creases will be slightly more pronounced and the stance is lower. Its wheelbase won’t change, but this SUV could slightly grow in size.

19-inch wheels are standard once again, but we expect to see one or two brand-new exterior paints. 22-inch wheels are standard in the upper trim levels, and range-topping trim also provides better tires. Cayenne is a sporty SUV, but if you want more sportiness, the GTS variant is the answer. This model offers lower ride height, unique 21-inch RS Spyder wheels, and much more.

Interior Features

The interior of the 2022 Porsche Cayenne will continue to provide luxury. The cabin is spacious and its design is truly impressive. The interior is full of advanced technology and a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen is offered as standard. Like always before, Cayenne offers an analog center tachometer and pair of 7-inch digital gauges.

New model will retain its current cabin design, but we expect to see even more standard features. That includes new safety aids and much more. Cayenne is a model that offers standard keyless entry, push-button start, and a 10-speaker sound system.

Cayenne S, GTS and Turbo Specs

Porsche won’t change things under the hood. However, this is not a bad thing at all. The 2022 Porsche Cayenne offers numerous different outputs. For a start, a 3.0-liter turbo V6 engine with 355 hp and 322 lb-ft of torque is the standard engine choice. The Cayenne S variant offers 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 with 434 horsepower. The GTS model provides a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 that develops 453 horsepower.

The same V8 also powers the Cayenne Turbo version, but the Turbo model offers 541 hp and 568 lb-ft of torque. Lastly, Porsche also offers an E-Hybrid setup. This hybrid output combines a standard 3.0-liter V6 engine with an electric motor. Together, they are producing 455 horsepower. If you mix it with a more potent twin-turbo V8, you will get astonishing 670 horses. All models are using the same 8-speed automatic transmission.

2022 Porsche Cayenne Price, Release Date

The base trim level will once again start at around $67,000. However, the price of the 2022 Porsche Cayenne can reach $165,000. Of course, if you opt for the Turbo S E-Hybrid variant. The updates are minor, so it makes perfect sense that the price won’t change. The sales will begin in the second half of 2021.
