2023 Acura RDX to Introduce Type S Variant

The next 2023 Acura RDX prototype has been spied testing, with more attractive design than the outgoing model. Unfortunately, the disguised model only reveals minor aesthetic updates. Furthermore, the new RDX will have a redesigned front and back fascia, as well as a more comfortable interior.

Furthermore, the Acura employed a familiar 2.0-liter turbo-four engine with 270 horsepower. The engine is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and powers the front wheels as standard, or all four if desired. According to various sources, we may anticipate this amazing SUV to make its appearance in the first half of next year.

Acura RDX Changes

The first images of the new 2023 Acura RDX are now here, and we notice several changes right away. Overall, the design is considerably better, with the forthcoming SUV sporting redesigned front and back sections. The distinctive “floating-roof” is visible at first glance. It is a popular move nowadays and you can spot it on a number of SUVs from different manufacturers. On the back, the RDX features new square-shaped exhaust tips.

Whatever the case may be, it is yet to be confirmed whether the Type S performance treatment will be employed on the next model. As you probably know, Acura said that almost every future model will offer the popular Type S treatment.

Interior Updates

The upcoming 2023 Acura RDX is a two-row, five-seat SUV with a spacious interior. In general, it provides enough of space for travelers and their luggage. The front seats offer above-average support, and back passengers will have no complaints regarding legroom or headroom. Surprisingly, the space behind the back seats is 31.2 cubic feet, which can be increased to 79.9 cubic feet when seats are folded flat.

The RDX combines outstanding technology, elegance, and design. The most favorable impression is a high-resolution 10.2-inch infotainment display, using Acura’s True Touchpad Interface. The RDX model provides a lot of luxury, including leather seats, panoramic moonroof and power-adjustable features.

RDX SUV Provides Over 270 Horsepower

The 2023 Acura RDX is an SUV with only one engine choice. This model is only available with a 2.0-liter turbo-four output, developing up to 272 horsepower. The engine is coupled with a smooth 10-speed automatic transmission, and it employs a front-wheel drive as standard or all four wheels as an option.

A new hybrid system, akin to the previous RLX premium car, is another option. This system is using of three motors that provide power to either the rear or all-wheel-drive system. The towing capability is only 1,500 pounds, which is not so impressive. Even the Lexus NX, which is far from the finest model in segment, can pull more than that.

2023 Acura RDX Release Date, Price

The all-new 2023 Acura RDX will most likely come next summer, with several improvements. On top of that, there is a good chance of RDX Type S model happening. The current model is less than $40,000 and new one will cost slightly above that.
