Spied 2023 Toyota Sequoia Gets New Engine

According to recent reports, the next 2023 Toyota Sequoia will receive a number of changes. The Sequoia, like the Tundra before it, will be similar to the Tundra truck. Both models will, in theory, ride on the same platform and, most likely, share the same twin-turbo V6 engine.

A new Tundra truck is will reportedly go on sale in the first quarter of next year, implying that a new Sequoia would follow soon after. Toyota’s next SUV will be based on the TNGA-F body-on-frame chassis first seen in the Land Cruiser 300-series.

Toyota Sequoia to Introduce New Twin-Turbo V6 Engine

Sequoia now features a powerful V8 engine capable of producing 380 horsepower. It will, however, be replaced by a twin-turbo 3.4-liter V6 engine in new 2023 Toyota Sequoia. We also anticipate that the new Tundra will use the same engine. This engine produces around 410 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque in the Land Cruiser.

As indicated by the blue text in a teaser image, a hybrid drivetrain with a six-cylinder engine is also a possibility. Each engine will almost definitely come with a standard 10-speed automatic transmission and a rear-wheel-drive setup. A four-wheel-drive system, on the other hand, will be available as an option.

Interior Improvements

Toyota has officially revealed some interior upgrades for the 2023 Toyota Sequoia. The cabin should be more modern with a larger touchscreen, the latest phone integrations, and a JBL audio system. Overall, the Sequoia will be significantly updated, with higher-quality materials.

There are other rivals, and Ford intends to improve its full-size Expedition SUV with a new 10.2-inch touchscreen. The Chevy Tahoe model will also get a makeover. The seating layout will remain the same, and the new Sequoia should comfortably seat seven occupants.

The next 2023 Toyota Sequoia will now sit on the same truck chassis as the most recent Tundra. According to the most recent renderings, the new model will appear more aggressive than before. The SUV’s front and back ends will suffer a redesign to give it a more truck-like appearance. The distinctions between Tundra and Sequoia, on the other hand, are becoming surprisingly small.

Both models share the same headlamps and grille, however, the Sequoia’s appearance is less striking than the new Tundra’s. Based on current information, we can expect Sequoia to receive the same treatment as Tundra’s off-road-focused TRD Pro variant.

2023 Toyota Sequoia Release Date, Price

Toyota may introduce the third-generation Sequoia full-size SUV soon after the Tundra pickup vehicle, according to the latest reports. It will be manufactured alongside the Tundra at the brand’s Texas factory. The aesthetic facelift and a new twin-turbo engine choice are the features of the upcoming 2023 Toyota Sequoia. In terms of pricing, it will almost certainly rise.

The starting price for the entry-level model should be around $60,000. If you want an SUV with third-row seating, plenty of standard driver-assistance technology, and a powerful engine, the all-new Sequoia might be the perfect solution.
