2022 Mercedes-Benz GLA Significantly Upgraded

The forthcoming 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLA is a small crossover SUV that continues with changes and upgrades. This model is very premium and it will arrive with an even more attractive design. Mercedes is known as a manufacturer that listens to its customers and their demands. Thanks to that, the brand’s lineup of SUVs is truly impressive.

The 2022 GLA will introduce refreshed design and various interior updates. New model will look better and it will provide a higher level of comfort as a result. Under the hood, GLA will stick to its current engine lineup. That means there will be three engine options. The sales will begin at some point in the second half of 2021.

2022 Mercedes GLA Redesign

New 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLA is the smallest brand’s crossover SUV. Thanks to its compact dimensions, GLA looks adorable but attractive and modern at the same time. With such a small size and good aerodynamics, GLA provides great fuel efficiency. According to the latest reports, the new model will introduce some essential exterior upgrades.

Thanks to that, GLA will wear an updated radiator grille and additional black inserts. The appearance is now more modern, especially the front part. Mercedes is working on new LED headlights. The rear part will get the taillights with improved graphics and the rear bumper will be wider. We also expect to see new exterior colors and new exterior features that will be optional.

Interior Overhaul

On the inside, the new 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLA will gain even more updates. The first details are showing a revised cabin design with new features and much more. For a start, a small SUV will introduce a new set of air vents and an updated instrument panel. The range-topping trim level will offer a virtual dashboard that looks completely new and more futuristic.

The list of standard features will be longer in all trim levels. Mercedes is working on a new infotainment system and we also expect to see the newest driver-assistance features. It isn’t the most luxurious cabin in the segment, but everything on the inside looks very premium. New upholstery is just a rumor at the moment, but we wouldn’t be surprised if Mercedes decides to deliver a higher level of comfort.

Same Engine Lineup

The forthcoming 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLA comes with the same engine lineup as the outgoing model. Thanks to that, a small SUV will offer three engine options. The first one is a 2.0-liter turbo-four unit with 221 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. The front-wheel-drive comes as standard and all-wheel-drive will be optional.

Mercedes offers the same, but impressive eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. The same engine also powers the GLA 35 model but it develops 302 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of twists. The last engine can be found in the GLA 45 version where it produces 382 horses and 355 lb-ft of torque.

2022 Mercedes-Benz GLA Release Date, Price

New 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLA will now cost around $37,000. It is a small jump in price, given the number of upgrades. The GLA 35 version is available for $47,500 and GLA 45 for about $55,000. Mercedes plans to launch its smallest SUV in the second half of 2021. As before, the biggest rivals are Volvo XC40, Audi Q3, Lexus UX, and BMW X2.
