2023 Chevrolet Equinox Receives Minor Upgrades

The upcoming 2023 Chevrolet Equinox will arrive with minor updates, after significant upgrades for 2022MY. It will have a lot of new features when it comes out the next year, though. This compact crossover SUV is one of the most popular models in its class because it has a unique look. It also has a great cabin, with a lot of room for passengers, a feature-rich infotainment system, and a lot of high-quality materials in it.

New trim levels are speculated, but nothing is official yet. Right now, Equinox comes with the LS, LT, RS, and Premier trim levels. No matter which engine you opt for, you will get the same turbo-four engine with an optional AWD system.

Chevrolet Equinox Facelift

The 2023 Chevrolet Equinox will obtain minor visual updates. This makes perfect sense as the 2022MY arrived with a redesign. Now, Equinox crossover is set for a smooth sail. We like that modern and sporty look. Moreover, Equinox is a very recognizable SUV with unique exterior colors. Everything looks so subtle yet stylish.

However, if you want something wilder, there is the RS trim level. This sporty version is using 19-inch alloy wheels, blacked-out exterior features and it also comes with improved aerodynamics. Like the base model, the RS trim level will also gain small updates only.

Interior Changes

The new 2023 Chevrolet Equinox has a cabin that is made of durable materials and is very well made and styled. It also has room for five people. Both the front and back seats should be comfortable, and there should be enough extras to make every long trip easier to deal with. On top of that, the cabin has a lot of standard or optional equipment on higher trim levels.

Buyers who choose the basic model will get a 7-inch touchscreen with a MyLink system on top of Equinox’s dash. However, you can get a bigger 8-inch screen, but Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and 4G LTE onboard Wi-Fi is standard. Comfort is great and the interior is surprisingly roomy.

Turbo-Four Engine Remains the Only Choice

There will be a new 2023 Chevy Equinox, but it will have the same engine as the one before. It is a 1.5-liter turbo-four engine producing 170 horsepower. Like before, the FWD system comes as standard but you can get an optional AWD setup. Chevy Equinox can tow 3500 pounds with this engine. It also gets 26 mpg in the city and 31 on the highway. Adding all-wheel drive makes this crossover SUV get less fuel-efficient by one mile per gallon.

2023 Chevrolet Equinox Release Date, Price

The forthcoming 2023 Chevrolet Equinox will start at $27,000. On top of that, the range-topping trim level should be available for about $32,000 or slightly higher than that. The upgrades are truly minor, so the price didn’t change drastically. The sales will begin later this year, probably in late summer. Moreover, the Equinox EV will reportedly arrive in 2024. The Equinox model will continue to rival competitors such as Ford Escape, Hyundai Tucson, and Kia Sportage.
